Welcome to the Auli Skiing
Skiing and Snowboarding still rank among the undisputed winter sport highlights for all ages and ability levels. Auli ski slopes make a real heaven for skiers and riders. Our professional ski and snowboard instructors can show you all the little details while improving your skiing techniques and riding skills as well gain confidence.
Auli Skiing is a small non-profit organization in the Indian Himalaya. We provide ski equipment and ski instruction to the Local skiers and local people who are not able to pay for the skies and are good skiers and snowboarders.
In Winter communication between the villages is too difficult due to deep snow. Even then local children's comes from far village and keep hope to get some skies to run at slopes through friends or some time they bring their own handmade wooden skies. Although there is GMVN which is fully equipped with skies. But Still Skiing has never developed, as there are old and limits skies with local people in Auli. With its remote area, purchasing skis in Auli has not been possible by local people and skiers are rare expensive to buy or hire.
Auli Skiing Helps local and Local kids those who are interested to skie and are good skiers. Our organization helps them to practice with latest skies and ski boots poles etc...Without any charges. We also fund them for national competition as well for foreign training by S&SAI as well to participate in International Events with the help of SSAI and State Federation and our valuable sponsor.
We conduct every year 10 days free ski / snowboard batches for local children as well selected students from school and college. We fully trained them for 10 days without any charges. We have around 5 batches every year. By this way we try to develop and promote Auli and Local Children's towards the Skiing and Snowboarding so we can have good number of participants every year and excellent skiers those who can gave our country Medals in International and Olympic Events. As right now the situation of Athlete at Auli is only 10% so we have to work out more to have at least 50% Athlete for skiing and snowboarding as well Nordic Skies.
In May 2010, AAC and Snowboard Club joined together and farm a Organization ASS (Auli Skiing). Discussions with local villages developed into a collective dream - to create a Auli Skiing. The mission of the Auli Skiing is
To provide communication, rescue and job opportunities for the Children of the Joshimath Auli Himalaya through skiing and snowboarding.
